DAN101-Presentation from Coordination Office of Quality

Coordination Office of Quality met with students via Youtube in the scope of DAN101 Academic Advising course.
A live presentation was made in order to introduce quality practices adopted at ITU and the progress in the scope of YOKAK Institutional Accreditation Program. After this presentation, members of Coordination Office of Quality answered student questions coming via Live Chat section of Youtube.

YOKAK 2020-Institutional Accreditation Program-Unit Visits

YOKAK made a field visit via Zoom in the scope of Institutional Accreditation Program between the dates of 30th and 31st December, 2020. External Evaluation Team headed by Prof. Durmuş Günay firstly interviewed with rector & vice rectors, Quality Commission of ITU and members of ITU Senate, respectively. Then, the team met with all academic units, separately. Finally, the team held a meeting with the managers of administrative units, of practice and research centers and external stakeholders, respectively.

YOKAK 2020-Institutional Accreditation Program-Pre-Visit

On the date of December 16th, 2020, the institutional accreditation team of YOKAK* headed by Prof. Durmuş Günay had their first meeting with the upper management and Quality Commission of ITU via Zoom. Firstly, our Rector introduced ITU and objectives of ITU with a presentation. Then, the quality practices conducted across ITU were presented by Quality Commission.
External Evaluation Team will continue the Institutional Accreditation Program by visiting several units of ITU two weeks later.

Briefing on ISO 9001 Process and Digitalization Projects

In the scope of ISO 9001 process and digitalization projects, an online meeting was held via Zoom in order to convey the expectations between organizational units of ITU on December 2nd, 2020.

Quality Management System Training

Between the dates of October 5th to 9th, 2020, in order to raise awareness of Quality ​Management System adopted at ITU 
  • Quality Commission
  • Academic/Administrative staff
  • Quality Commissions of units and research centers
  • Undergraduate and graduate students

were trained through Zoom. In the scope of this training, one of the Coordination Office of Quality member, Dr. Bülent CERİT, presented the evolution of quality concept and quality management systems. On the other side, Deputy Quality Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Başar ÖZTAYŞİ gave general information about the system adopted at ITU.
